Checking In

Hello Smart Option Sellers! We've been a bit quieter this week, compared to the last few. One thing I always stress to my members - no sake in making a trade just for the sake of making a trade. If the opportunity isn't there, why try to force it? That's the fastest way to give your money away. We don't want that! I know we all want some action and we love to "click the mouse" to make a fast trade, but summer is typically slow for the markets. Historically, August & September are notorious for being the worst performing months of the year. There's a history of pull-backs (some quite large) in those two months. That's actually music to our put-selling ears though, as we typically enter our best trades after a decent pull-back. So I usually enjoy August and September from a put-selling point of view. But we also have open positions that we need to watch closely as well. Right now we have five open positions that are doing fine, three of which are on the cusp of my "80% Rule" threshold. Actually, one of those three we have an ongoing GTC order to buy it back (GoodYear Tire). The other two trades are our newest put-sell orders and both are hovering near our initial sell prices. That all being said about August & September's trade action, let's tread lightly here until we see a good set-up take shape. I'm monitoring a few potential plays, and if/when they look just right, I will send another update. Otherwise, let's enjoy the last bit of summer.
